Tiny dishes

When thinking Tiny Tea parties, think appetizers and you will be on the right path. I have found so many tiny plates and trays and dishes for serving. You really don't have to look very far to find everything you need. Tiny forks, knives and spoons can be found for appetizers. Just google it and you will find a lot. This is my favorite find though, made by Melissa and Doug, it's real metal and can be used like real tableware only child size! So fun right? This is on my list for my little ones for sure! Until then we use the plastic.
but great tiny tableware for kids. Here is a photo of a tiny white scalloped dish I picked up for a few dollars. I love the whites because they match everything.
The photo above shows a 6inch plate I have them in glass, purple, green, yellow, white, turquoise. They are so tiny and it's fun to mix and match the table colors up with tiny hand made napkins and table cloths etc.

Mozaik makes tiny appetizer serving dishes! Comes with both white and clear plates, bowls and silverware all plastic. This one below is 96 pieces. They are about 2 inches wide and the spoon and fork about 4 inches tall. They fit perfectly for our little parties and little serving sizes for the tiny tummies.
I just picked this set up at the local craft/ fabric store and used a coupon to get 40% off!  We just wash and reuse them too. They have been so fun!

You can also use any plastic toy set you get. We have plenty of plastic plates etc, But I have gotten into using the real porcelain dishes. I only use those when we are actually eating together then I can clean up after. If My little one just wants to play on her own or I will not be sitting with her I give her all plastic/toy dishes so she doesn't break them or hurt herself.
Here is a photo, the white is the small child tea party size, the next size up is a larger childs tea party scale, I've only seen this size a few times but have found that if you want something close you can get the next size up, a childs life size tea cup that isn't play size or you can get espresso cups with saucers! They make them that don't look like hot cocoa/coffee mugs, they are tapered at the base instead of straight and flat! They are much more fancy and look really nice for a tea party. Espresso cups seem to be about 2 1/4 inches tall to 3inches tall. The center two sizes are my FAVORITE ones to use.  Here is an example of what a lot of espresso cups look like besides the traditional "mug" that can be used.

This one is my FAVORITE, Espresso Cup & Saucer Set in French Countryside by Mikasa is 2 1/4 inch tall

If you want to make your little Tea partiers feel like real princesses use porcelain/glass
(If they are old enough that is) Whatever that means for you and your child. Don't think that you have to spend a lot of money either, a lot of tiny random dishes can be found at second hand stores. It's a great way to add to your collection and not have to worry so much if something breaks. both this tea pot and set of 4 of the dark blue and tiny platter were found at a second hand shop.
